Hello to all!!! The time is coming soon to hold our 14th Annual Kentucky Consumer Conference. We will again be holding our conference at the Park Inn Louisville East. (formerly Louisville Marriott East.)

Already, copies of this year's registration form and additional attendees form (for those institutions that send multiple persons to the conference) can be found on the Forms page of our website. We will be offering a TOTAL of 20 scholarships to the conference this year and at least one will go to each of the 14
Community Mental Health Centers across the state. Call the office for more information.

If you have any special arrangements that need to be met in order to make your stay at the conference more enjoyable, please let us know as soon as possible to ensure that your needs are not overlooked in the rush to finish the conference preparations in March/April.

If you prefer to have vegetarian meals, let us know so we can make the proper arrangements with the catering staff at the hotel.

We are requesting the help of workshop facilitators again this year at the conference. A facilitator will greet everyone as they enter the room, introduce yourself and the presenter at the start of the workshop, explain the surveys that will be disbursed after the workshop is over, and a few more key actions that will make the workshops run more smoothly. You will be given a packet and a checklist, so don't worry about forgetting anything. We will take care of you. We will need at least 1 facilitator for each of the workshops that we will be holding. You may facilitate more than one workshop (given that they are in separate sessions) if you wish. Please contact us if this seems like something you would be willing to help us with.

We are excited to announce that, in conjunction with the conference this year, we will also be holding a eCPR training and certification course. eCPR is an educational program designed to teach anyone to assist another person through an emotional crisis by three simple steps of C=Connecting, P=emPowering, and R=Revitalizing. We will be selecting 30 applicants from across the state of Kentucky to attend the eCPR training and certification course. The 30 chosen applicants will be required to attend a 2-day training course that will begin on Sunday, April 11, and will include an extra room night at the Mariott. The applicants will "graduate" on Tuesday, April 13 and be sent back out into their different areas of Kentucky to begin utilizing their new certifications.
